MedTex

End-to-End Uniform Lifecycle Management. Simplified.

Stop searching for missing uniforms and relying on manual records. MedTex gives you complete visibility of every garment throughout its lifecycle—from initial assignment to issue, laundry, return and retirement.

Using RFID technology, MedTex helps you know exactly where each garment is, who it is assigned to, and when it needs replacement.

The result: reduced garment losses, streamlined uniform management, and complete lifecycle traceability.

How to implement

What devices are included in the MedTex solution?

Garments arrive with washable RFID tags attached; you use a desktop RFID reader to assign garments to employees, and a handheld RFID scanner for stock counts.

Can MedTex integrate with existing HR or ERP systems?

Yes. We offer pre-configured interfaces to make integration straightforward.

How long does implementation take?

In most cases, just one week. We start by assessing your entire warehouse, tag all garments currently in stock, and roll out the software — training included — so you’re up and running fast.

How are garments assigned to employees?

Simply place the garment on a desktop RFID reader, and it’s instantly assigned to the employee — in less than a second.

Can MedTex track garments through the laundry process?

Yes — garments are scanned when sent to and returned from the laundry, so you always know what is in circulation, what is at the laundry, what has not returned, and how many wash cycles each garment has completed.

Do garments arrive pre-tagged, or do we tag them ourselves?

Either your supplier provides garments with washable RFID tags already attached, or you tag them yourselves when they arrive.

If we already use MedTrack, does MedTex share the same system/hardware/login?

Yes — MedTex runs on the same RFID hardware, handhelds, logins, and reporting as MedTrack. One suite, one login.

How is employee data (garments assigned perperson) secured, and is it compliant with data protection regulations?

MedTex doesn’t store employee names — only employee numbers. We’re fully compliant with all relevant data protection regulations.

What happens when someone needs a size change or a replacement?

Sizes and allocations are stored per employee, so staff can see at a glance what’s entitled, held, and returned. Replacement becomes a quick pick, not a guess.

How does MedTex flag a garment as due for replacement?

Every garment carries its own record — issue count, wash count, and time in service — so MedTex automatically flags when a garment or batch is nearing end of life, based on evidence, not manual checks.

How do I know how many garments an employee has?

Since every garment is scanned to an employee and stays assigned until it’s returned, you always know exactly what’s outstanding for that employee before their last day, not weeks later.
